Born in Ecuador and raised in Miami, Sara developed her love for music at a young age, starting piano lessons at 7 and joining her school choir at 9. Her diverse musical education, which included classical training and a degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music, where she was awarded an Achievement Scholarship, helped shape her eclectic style. She showcased her talents early on with her debut EP Marte y Júpiter (2015), which she wrote, produced, and recorded herself. The EP led to tours across Ecuador and the U.S., performing at major festivals like SXSW and MUSIKFEST.

In 2017, Sara released her debut album Entre Espacios y Colores, blending South American R&B, Alternative, and Nu-Latin influences. The album, praised by The Huffington Post for its mainstream appeal and lack of "fluff," features both English and Spanish tracks. It marked the start of her international career, with notable performances at the NAMM Show, LIFA Music Festival in Mexico City, and LatinIndie in Chicago. Sara has also opened for renowned artists such as Ella Baila Sola, Luz, Ceci Juno, Ruzzi, and Vanessa Zamora, further expanding her presence on the global stage.

Sara's artistry has earned her significant recognition, including the “Best World Music” award at the Richmond Film and Music Festival and the “Artist Revelation of the Year” accolade at the Premios Unidad (Ecuadorian Music Awards) in 2019. That same year, she released the empowering anthem Hey María, which addresses violence against women. She followed up with the singles Inútil and Separated by the Sea in 2020, both of which showcased her evolving musical style.

In 2022, Sara took a creative leap with Volcan EP, exploring themes of self-deconstruction and emotional healing through natural metaphors. The EP, influenced by 80s synth pop sounds, highlighted her continuous musical evolution and artistic depth. That same year, Sara also collaborated with Andean-Pop artist Mirella Cesa on the single Tu Recuerdo, further expanding her musical horizons.
